Vincent J. Cataldi - current medical symptoms journal

I collect my daily symptoms into a relational database to better understand what is happening. Most importantly, I am searching for indications that things are stable of worsening. I am searching for a new global minimum, as opposed to a local minimum, which occurs routinely during the cyclical symptomatic occultation.

This process requires an attempt to objectify a subjective symptom. Relative numbness is tested by putting feet into very hot water to determine which foot feels the heat and pain more. Also, I try to access a numeric degree to reach symptom record, relative to yesterday, so that the relative meaningfulness of the data is useful. Also, the database quickly evolved during the first month and so the earliest data is less reliable than the most recent data.

Medication is another obvious obstacle to objectify such subjective symptomatic feelings and observations. I do a self-exam before any drugs, and wait as long as I can tolerate before pain medication. Nearly all observations are before any medication.

I describe the symptoms first with a part or activity, then left or right side, top or bottom, and front or back. Each record also allows a numeric value for degree, I use very good at zero -- by 9, I suspect I would be fighting pain for consciousness.

I collect my daily symptoms into a relational database to better understand what is happening. Most importantly, I am searching for

indications that things are stable of worsening. I am searching for a new global minimum, as opposed to a local minimum, which

occurs routinely during the cyclical symptomatic occultation.

This process requires an attempt to objectify a subjective symptom. Relative numbness is tested by putting feet into very hot

water to determine which foot feels the heat and pain more. Also, I try to access a numeric degree to reach symptom record,

relative to yesterday, so that the relative meaningfulness of the data is useful. Also, the database quickly evolved during the first

month and so the earliest data is less reliable than the most recent data.

Medication is another obvious obstacle to objectify such subjective symptomatic feelings and observations. I do a self-exam

before any drugs, and wait as long as I can tolerate before pain medication. Nearly all observations are before any medication.

I describe the symptoms first with a part or activity, then left or right side, top or bottom, and front or back. Each record also

allows a numeric value for degree, I use very good at zero -- by 9, I suspect I would be fighting pain for consciousness.
